Facebook campaign to help lost teddy bear find owner
Social networking site used to help lost toy
Have you lost a teddy bear? This gorgeous thread bear was left at the Meare Shop and Tearoom in Thorpeness, Suffolk, and has sparked a search on Facebook.
Liz Everett, who owns the shop where the bear was left, has started up the Facebook group, “As much as he is having a great time with us in Thorpeness he is ready to go home,” said Liz.
“He's a lovely teddy and the little child who lost him must be devastated at losing such a well loved friend.
“We've taken good care of him, giving him lots of cuddles and we have taken lots of pictures of him enjoying his seaside adventure.
“But we would like nothing more now than to help him find his way home.”
If you recognise the bear, you can get in contact with Liz by joining the Facebook group.
In March, we reported on the mum who launched a nationwide search for her toddler’s blanket. Have you ever embarked on a huge search for a much-loved toy? Let us know…
UPDATE:Monday 2nd August 2010. The teddy bear, whose real name is Bubba Cat, has been reunited with his owner, two-year-old Ned Taggart, who is overjoyed by the return of his favourite toy.
