There’s no denying it’s been a rocky few weeks for former TOWIE star Ferne McCann.

The 27-year-old’s pregnancy news was marred by the shocking fact that the father of her baby, now ex-boyfriend Arthur Collins, had been charged in relation to an acid attack outside an East London club last month.

So it's really lovely to see Ferne looking relaxed, happy and rather glamorous on the red carpet for the Pride Of The North East Awards, alongside Geordie pal Vicky Pattison.

The Essex native, who often presents showbiz news on This Morning, wore a silky orange dress that revealed the tiniest hint of her burgeoning 13-week baby bump.

Just last week, the newly single star spoke about her pregnancy for the first time, with colleagues Holly Willoughby and Philip Schofield.

"It had been such a stressful, surreal situation to be in but I'm actually feeling good, feeling positive because I'm pregnant,” she admitted. "I think that has given me strength and hope to get through this."

"This isn’t how I imagined my first pregnancy to be, but this isn’t about me, or the situation, my main priority is the baby.”

Ferne then broke down in tears as she thanked fans, fellow mums-to-be and the general public for showing her such compassion in what we can only imagine has been an awfully conflicting time.

She also revealed that, at the 3-month mark, she was just coming out of the morning sickness phase - so hopefully she was able to enjoy the awards show without any nausea ?

After all, we reckon Ferne more than deserves a proper girls' night out ?
