Vicky Lamb, 31 gave birth to four girls and two boys 14 weeks early in Oxford last Friday. All six are now in a critical condition in intensive care with the smallest weighing under 1lb, 5oz.

Already parents to Gracie, 5, Vicky and dad, Andy, conceived the sextuplets with the same fertility drug they used to conceive their older daughter. They are said to be “hoping and praying that everything is going to be okay,” and asking for a “small miracle” to help their babies.

Live births of such a high number of babies are very rare, with sextuplets estimated to occur in just one in every 4.5 million pregnancies.
