Geri Horner's Shakespeare / George Michael tribute baby name
The former Spice Girl and her F1 hubby welcome a sibling for Geri's daughter Bluebell
In case you missed it, Ginger Spice has become Mama Spice for the 2nd time!
Geri Horner (nee Halliwell) and her husband Christian welcomed a baby boy on 21 January 2017.
Geri was quick to share the news with fans on Twitter:
"Christian and I are delighted to announce our baby boy was born this morning weighing 7lbs 8oz ??"
The couple also revealed their newborn son's rather unusual name: Montague George Hector.
Montague, a French name meaning 'pointy hill', according to Nameberry, is probably best known as Romeo's family name in Romeo & Juliet.
The middle name George is reportedly a tribute to Geri's late friend George Michael, who passed away on Christmas Day 2016.
Geri is said to have hoped George would become part of the newborn's life, and if so, the name is a very fitting nod indeed ?
And finally, the 2nd middle name Hector is traditionally a Greek name, though often used in Spanish-speaking countries. According to Nameberry, it means 'moving fast'.
Geri revealed that despite having 3 names, her little guy will go by the nickname Monty.
She shared her newborn son's nickname in a cute Instagram post which featured the names of her, Christian, Monty, Geri's 10-year-old daughter Bluebell and Christian's daughter Olivia drawn on cupcakes...
Awww. Congrats all ?
Now, in other celeb baby name news: Richard Branson's son Sam has named his newborn son Bluey Rafe Richard Branson. Certainly unusual... we've definitely never met a Bluey in the playground before.
But we reckon it's rather catchy ?
Have your say
What do you make of these celeb baby names? And did your baby name have a special meaning behind it, just like Geri's?
