Guy Ritchie “ecstatic” to be spending Christmas with his children
Hollywood director is preparing for a traditional family celebration
Having been thrust into the spotlight following his divorce from one of the most famous women on the planet earlier this year, it seems Guy Ritchie just wants to take it easy by celebrating a traditional Christmas with his children, reports Digital Spy.
The Sherlock Holmes director, who is dad to 9-year-old Rocco and adopted son David with Madonna, has apparently decided to throw a big English celebration for his family after his ex-wife gave him permission to have his two sons on Christmas Day.
“Guy is really pleased, he can’t quite believe he and Madonna came to such an amicable agreement,” said a friend. “He’s a huge fan of Christmas and wants to do everything by the book, very traditionally. This means stockings hanging from the kids’ beds, presents under the tree, a massive turkey, the works.”
Guy and Madonna split up earlier this year after nine years together. “When they were married, they didn’t really celebrate Christmas day due to her Kabbalah beliefs. Now Guy is determined to spoil them rotten and give the children a Christmas they’ll never forget,” said the source.
