Gwyneth Paltrow claims Spain is better for family life than her native US
Actress and mum-of-two Gwyneth is raising her kids the Spanish way
Gushing about her love of Spanish culture, actress Gwyneth Paltrow has criticised native New Yorkers for getting too involved in their work and not concentrating on their families enough.
Bound to upset her close friend Madonna (who reportedly once claimed that she slept with her Blackberry tucked under her pillow), the actress declared in an interview, "They seem to enjoy life over there [in Spain]. They aren't running around as much as in New York. They enjoy time with the family and don't always have their Blackberries on."
Gwyneth, 36, has been touring Spain for several months filming her documentary 'On The Road Again', and is writing a book about US cuisine with a Spanish flair to it. She's also announced she has launched a Spanish version of her lifestyle website, Goop.
Such is her love of the language, she's now fluent and is teaching her children, daughter Apple, 5, and son Moses, 3, to speak the lingo. "Moses speaks a little bit, but understands everything. Apple speaks it a lot," she commented.
