H from Steps is expecting twins!
Ian 'H' Watkins reveals his and partner Craig's surprise news in a must-see cartoon
H from Steps has some pretty big news… he's expecting twins.
Ian 'H' Watkins and his partner Craig Ryder have shared an animated video to reveal their big news.
"We are VERY excited to share our news with you!!! For a long time we have been wishing.... and our dream is about to come true :0)" they wrote on YouTube.
The cartoon shows viewers their happiest moments as a couple to date.
"Together we've been on lots of adventures!" it says.
These include being celebrities in the spotlight, travelling and moving into their first home with a menagerie of pets.
"But our biggest adventure is about to begin!" the video says as they board a rocket to the stars.
"For a long time we have been wishing, and our wish is about to come true!
"We are going... to be dads!!!
But that's not the end of the surprise…
"There's more... it's twins!!!"
The clip ended with a picture of their scan pictures hanging over a fireplace, before the words: "The Ryder-Watkins twins.... arriving soon!"
The couple have been trying for a baby for 7 years. Initially they tried to adopt a child in 2008 but weren't able to progress far enough through the lengthy adoption process.
They then tried the surrogate route but were distraught when their surrogate suffered a miscarriage in 2012. Ian described being told that their baby's heart had stopped beating as "the worst moment of my life".
He added: "We were thinking of names, and we even planned our first Christmas as a family. We were both ready to be Dads.
"I just feel really empty and helpless. The only person who can help me is Craig."
Today it's a very happy couple who are looking forward to having two babies. Watch the announcement video in full below…
