Harry Potter star becomes a dad - at 68
New baby for Dumbledore actor, Sir Michael Gambon, is 44 years younger than his first child
Award-winning actor Sir Michael Gambon, who plays Hogwarts headmaster Albus Dumbledore, has fathered a baby boy with his 43-year-old ‘second’ partner, Philippa Hart. Sir Michael already has a two-year-old son, Michael, with set designer Philippa.
The actor also has a 44-year-old son Fergus with his wife of 45 years, Lady Anne, who knows of her husband’s relationship with Philippa.
“Philippa gave birth at a London hospital without complications and little Michael is a beautiful bouncing baby,” a family friend told The Sun. “It’s a very strange set of circumstances worthy of a film script in itself. But Michael is open with his wife and she accepts the second relationship, though there have been rows in the past.”
Sir Michael divides his time between his £4m home with his wife in Kent, Philippa’s home in Chiswick and his London bachelor pad.
Harry Potter And The Half Blood Prince hits the cinema nationwide on July 15th
