Hilary Duff has spoken out against the flurry of criticism in response to photographs of her post-baby bikini body.

The snaps that sparked the remarks showed Hilary in a two-piece bikini enjoying a family break in Mexico with her son Luca, sister Haylie and their parents Susan and Robert Duff.

The mum-of-one, who gave birth to son Luca just three months ago, admitted to In Touch magazine she’s not back to her ideal weight, but that she’s feeling great, reports the Daily Mail.

“I’m not perfect, but I feel fantastic,” Hilary said.

“This is how it goes for most women – the weight doesn’t fall off overnight,” she added.

Hilary revealed she’s been exercising a few times a week, but said she’s not putting too much pressure on herself.

“I don’t care what people say. I’m not back to where I want to be, but I’m not stressing it,” she said.

The actress said that husband Mike Comrie, who she married in August 2010, doesn’t care about her pregnancy weight.

“Even during my pregnancy he thought I was beautiful,” said Hilary.

Hilary’s not the only celeb to have revealed she’s determined to lose the baby weight in her own time.

It’s nice to see celebrity mums taking a relaxed approach to regaining their pre-pregnancy figures and speaking out against the critics. Go Hilary!
