Housework makes British men more attractive
Study shows that women are attracted to men who clean the house
British men are good at helping with household chores, which makes them better husband material, according to a new study. The research found that men from the UK, Norway, Sweden and the US were more likely to pull their weight with the housework than those in Japan, Germany and, bottom of the list, Australia.
This helpfulness makes them 20-50% more attractive to women looking to settle down or live with someone. (Bit of a no-brainer we think – who would you rather live with?!)
“When people decide to get married, they want their partner to chip in a bit. In that sense, British men are better marriage material than many others,” said Dr Sevilla-Sanz, the author of the study.
The research looked at 12 countries. Equality in relationships occurred in the following order: Norway, Sweden, Great Britain, US, Northern Ireland, Netherlands, Ireland, Spain, New Zealand, Japan, Germany, Austria and Australia.
