How Red Hot Chili Peppers singer Anthony Kiedis saved a dying baby's life
While filming Carpool Karaoke for James Corden’s The Late Late Show, Anthony came to a child's rescue…

The Red Hot Chili Peppers ‘helped’ James Corden make his way to work in his popular YouTube series, Carpool Karaoke – and we have to admit, it was a pretty funny episode.
There was singing, dancing and even a wrestling match on a stranger's front lawn.
But lead singer Anthony Kiedis recently claimed that it wasn’t all fun and games during filming.
Anthony told Chris Moyles, during an interview on his Radio X show, that while filming an unseen dance-off segment, he actually helped save a baby’s life.
He says a mother came running out of her home when her baby, Nina, stopped breathing, and screamed for help.
Anthony, who has an 8-year-old son named Everly Bear, revealed:
“After the wrestle-off, we had a glorious dance-off, which led to a very interesting unscripted moment.
“A woman came out of her house, holding a child, saying: ‘My baby, my baby, my baby can’t breathe.'
“We all ran across the street, the lady thrust her baby into my arms, the baby was not breathing.
“So I thought, I’m gonna try to do some baby CPR real quick, to see if I can get some air in this kid.
“Tried to open the mouth [and it was] locked shut. So I started rubbing the belly. Bubbles came out of the mouth. Eyes rolled back into place.
“The ambulance showed up. I handed the baby over, who was now breathing fine.
“It was kind of a beautiful thing that we stopped for the dance-off. The baby needed help and we were there."
We reckon everyone involved was pretty lucky to be in the right place at the right time.
And of course, his quick-thinking was partly due to his parental instinct. He admitted:
“When you’re a dad, and someone yells ‘my baby’… you run across the street!”
Anthony brushed off being called a ‘hero’ by Chris’s co-host, but we’d say his actions were nothing short of heroic ?
And if little Nina's mum wasn't a RHCP fan before... she definitely is now!
