Huggies nappies to be discontinued from spring 2013
Brand will stop making and selling Huggies nappies to focus on babycare products
Huggies nappies range will be discontinued throughout the UK and Ireland as of spring 2013.
Customers will still be able to buy packs of Huggies nappies in most retailers from now until April, although in-store stock will begin to decrease during this period.
Huggies Marketing Director Amanda Redman said, “We understand many mums and dads will be disappointed by our decision, however, this was not taken lightly and it means we can now re-focus on other core brands within our company portfolio.”
Huggies will concentrate on non-fastening nappies and specialised wipes such as Little Swimmers swim nappies, Pull-Ups Potty Training pants, DryNites pyjama pants and Huggies baby wipes.
Kimberly-Clark, the company that manufactures Huggies nappies, will also stop making and selling Huggies nappies in Europe, except for Italy.
