The well-known actor joined Ellen DeGeneres on her US chat show last Friday. Speaking about his 6-month-old daughter Tabitha Hugh revealed, “Now that I have [a child] it is life changing. I recommend it. Get some!”

Now the voice of The Pirate Captain in mischievous claymation movie The Pirates! In an Adventure with Scientists! it seems Hugh and ex-girlfriend Tinglan Hong were quite cheeky with their name choice, too. “I can’t pretend it wasn’t a little bit of a surprise. But it’s a very nice surprise. In fact, the baby’s name in Chinese, because the mother is Chinese, means ‘Happy Surprise”, said Hugh, reports People mag online.

But behind the boy-ish charm, Hugh has admitted he’s bothered by visions of being alone. Speaking to the German edition of InStyle magazine Hugh said, “Sometimes, I have this awful vision that when I am an old man, I’ll be sitting under the Christmas tree all by myself. And the family will say: ‘Someone has to go and visit uncle Hugh’,” reports the Belfast Telegraph.

Hmm…perhaps he’s just angling for a good Father’s Day gift?!
