Is Louis Tomlinson in custody battle for baby Freddie Reign?
New reports suggest the One Direction star is about to embark on a legal battle with the mum of his baby, Briana Jungwirth, to win joint custody
One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson wants joint custody of his son Freddie Reign, new reports claim.
The 24-year-old 1D popstar has started legal proceedings against Freddie's mum, Briana Jungwirth, according to TMZ.
The site says he’s filed for joint physical and legal custody of his 5-month-old son. He also wants the time to be split 50/50, so they have ‘equal access’.
It’s been reported that Briana’s been ‘inconsistent’ with visitation - despite the Mail Online claim that earlier this year, the couple came to a ‘temporary custodial agreement’.
Many sources are saying that the lack of access is allegedly linked to Briana feeling jealous of Louis’s relationship with 21-year-old Disney actress Danielle Campbell.
But a source apparently told TMZ that Briana’s actually concerned about her and Freddie’s safety – and that she'll object to joint custody if Louis hires a nanny.
Louis is said to pay $15,000 (around £11,000) per month in child support, and rents a $1 million (around £752,000) home near Los Angeles for Briana and his son to live in.
Representatives for Louis have not confirmed whether or not these reports are true.
But we really do hope that if they are, Louis and Briana can come up with an arrangement that works for both of them, so little Freddie can spend time happily with mum and dad.
