Is this the boldest red carpet pregnancy look EVER? We think so...
Nev Schulman's fiancee dared to bare her bump on the VMA red carpet…
The MTV Video Music Awards took place over the Bank Holiday weekend, and one attendee caught everyone’s eye with her daring maternity style.
Laura Perlongo, best known in the public eye as the fiancée of Catfish creator Nev Schulman, took to the red carpet wearing a pair of heels, some sleek black trousers, a khaki green bomber jacket (left open) and a body chain.
And that’s it. As a result, her 8-month bump was on full display!
In an Instagram snap of her outfit, above, Laura wrote: “To be fair, I did find my tan line offensive.”
OK, we gotta admit, we’re not sure we’d be confident enough to rock this bold look ourselves, but we reckon if you’re gonna try it out, the fashion-forward VMAs are def the time and the place to give it a go.
It can also get pretty hot in Manhattan - where the awards took place - so we can totally understand why she might’ve wanted to set bump free ?
Laura’s outfit won’t be to everyone’s personal taste - but she’s clearly feeling healthy and happy during her last trimester.
She reportedly told People during her red carpet appearance: “If you told me I was going to feel this great at 8 months pregnant, I would’ve been like, ‘No way.’”
Laura, who is said to work as a writer, told attn that many fellow celebs loved the look, including Kim Kardashian.
Fiancé Nev - who MTV fans will know as the internet detective discovering whether or not people are being tricked by online ‘catfish’ - obviously loved his partner's look, too.
He reportedly said: “I’m just so happy to be the guy on the red carpet with the pregnant lady who is killing it, just looking incredible.”
He was very happy indeed, even getting down on his knees to kiss Laura’s bump in full display of the cameras...
Well there’s a proud dad-to-be. Congrats to the happy couple!
