Jack Osbourne's unisex name for newborn daughter
Jack and his wife Lisa give their little girl a gender-neutral name
Jack Osbourne's wife Lisa has given birth to another daughter – and they've given her a unisex name. Andy Rose Osbourne was born on Saturday 13 June, weighing 6lb 11oz, according to US Hello! magazine.
Andy is traditionally a shortened version of the boy's name Andrew or of girl's name Andrea – so is pretty gender-neutral. The couple are the latest celebrities to shun gender specific names in favour of unisex ones.
Baby Andy joins 3-year-old big sister Pearl Clementine. Jack, 29, and Lisa, 28, married in 2012 – and announced lisa's pregnancy in February. Jack posted a photo of Lisa and toddler Pearl aptioned: "Supprise!!!!! #round2 #babyinbound."
Lisa uploaded the same photo on her blog Raddest Mom. "I'm pregnant! Pearl is very happy to become a big sister. She diligently reads her 'I'm a big sister' books every night & recites to me her plans of bathing, feeding, singing to, and holding the baby," she wrote at the time.
Sharing a picture of a bottle of non-alcoholic cider with two glasses yesterday, Jack commented: "This is how you celebrate when Mum is breastfeeding and Dad is sober. Thank you all for the kind words. #newbaby"
Congratulations both!
