Jennifer Lawrence: 'I was put on this Earth to be a mother'
Actress reveals her ambitions to be a mum
Actress Jennifer Lawrence has divulged that she would love to be a mother, in an interview with The Daily Beast.
Star of blockbuster The Hunger Games, Lawrence is currently dating British actor Nicholas Hoult, perhaps best known for his roles in About a Boy and Skins.
"It’s so weird for a 22-year-old to say it," Lawrence admits. "I do feel like the reason I was put on this Earth is to be a mother, which is why it’s funny for me to end up with such an overwhelming career. Ever since I was a baby, I was always playing house."
The Hollywood star reveals she has always had a connection with children. "I did grow up in Kentucky. I was a nanny and babysitter. I always loved children."
However, Lawrence isn't planning on having a baby soon - at least not until she has paid off a loan on her car... "I’m not even mature enough to buy a house yet. I can’t buy a car. I’m still paying off my Volkswagen. If someone proposed marriage to me, I’d be like, “I’ve got to pay off my Volkswagen."
Earlier this year, the Mirror reported how Lawrence is still adjusting to her new level of fame. "I'm in complete denial about everything. I'm still going about my life as if everything is totally normal. I'm just ignoring all of it. I'm excited and nervous, but mostly excited now."
After the success of The Hunger Games and hype about the upcoming rom-com Silver Linings Playbook, we don't think it will be long until she owns that Volkswagen outright!
