Jo Brand tells parents to talk about alcohol
Comedienne explains there’s nothing funny about educating children on the dangers of drinking
Mum-of-two Jo Brand is used to raising a few laughs from her comedy acts with her dry wit and kooky one-liners, however, she believes it’s no joke when it comes to the dangers of young people and alcohol.
As a mum to young daughters under 10, 52-year-old Jo explains how she aims to talk to her girls about alcohol as early as possible. After previously working as a psychiatric nurse prior to her rise to fame, the funny woman has seen first hand what alcohol can do to people and feels that the issue should be taken seriously.
This clip is part of an upcoming campaign, It's No Joke, which aims to spread awareness of the dangers of drinking alcohol and the effects it can have on young people’s lives.
