Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, has given birth to her 3rd child ?

She and Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge, welcomed a baby boy. He was born on 23 April 2018, at 11.01AM, in the Lindo wing of London's St Mary's Hospital.

Kensington Palace confirmed the joyous news by releasing the following statement:

"Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a son at 1101hrs. The baby weighs 8lbs 7oz.

The Duke of Cambridge was present for the birth. Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well.

"The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall, Prince Harry and members of both families have been informed and are delighted with the news."

The Palace has also been updating royal family fans with baby news via an official website, Royal Baby UK.

The new arrival's official royal title will be Prince of Cambridge. He is the 5th in line to the British throne, after grandfather Prince Charles, dad Prince William, older brother Prince George and older sister Princess Charlotte.

No word yet on the name choice, but with their previous 2, Kate and Prince William announced the news just a couple of days after the birth.
