Kate Winslet – “I have no regrets”
The newly single celeb mum admits doesn’t feel guilty about leaving her children at home so she can work
Oscar-winning actress Katie Winslet has revealed that she has no regrets about being a working mum, despite allegedly once feeling suicidal after hiring a nanny to look after her daughter Mia, 9, and Joe, 6, while she went to work.
“I don’t feel guilty about working now,” the 34-year-old actress admitted. “When Mia was younger I did, but that was largely to do with the press. ‘She’s off and the child gets left behind’ they say. You just want to kill yourself when you read those kind of things,” Kate told Showbiz Spy.
Kate, who recently split from her film director husband Sam Mendes, also revealed that she doesn’t like bringing her children to work with her either. “Mia and Joe are not on-set movie kids. I don’t ever have them hang out in the trailer, because I don’t like the notion that they are sort of beholden to my schedule.”
