Katie Piper gives birth to baby girl
TV presenter chooses French baby name meaning ‘beautiful’
Charity campaigner Katie Piper and her carpenter partner James have welcomed a baby girl.
The couple have named their daughter Belle Elizabeth. Belle weighed 7lb 1oz and was apparently born by caesarean.
Excitedly taking to Twitter, Katie wrote: "I am delighted to tell you that our daughter Belle Elizabeth was born today! Overwhelmed with happiness. We can't wait to get to know her!"
When she first announced her pregnancy, Katie revealed that she’d been wanting to shout it from the rooftops.
30-year-old Katie, who suffered horrific burns after being the victim of an acid attack, set up her own campaigning charity the Katie Piper Foundation.
She’s been an inspiration to other people who’ve experienced burns and facial disfiguration – and never seems to stop working.
In fact she was at a special event for Kiddicare just a couple of weeks ago, busy meeting other mums-to-be and sharing experiences.
Congrats Katie, James and Belle!
