The X Factor star Katie Waissel shares amazing 6-month bump reveal
Katie's now 32 and expecting her 1st child - see her bump journey so far, and read her powerful post about hitting the 6-month mark
Remember Katie Waissel from The X Factor? She appeared on the ITV singing show back in its 2010 heyday - but a lot's changed over the past 8 years!
Katie's ditched her tight blonde curls in favour of a glossy brown bob. She now lives in New York with personal trainer hubby Andy Speer.
Oh, and she's 6 months pregnant with her 1st child, due in July 2018 ???
32-year-old Katie's been documenting her pregnancy on her Instagram, and we totally fell in love with this bump snap she shared to celebrate hitting the 6-month mark.
Here's what she wrote alongside it...
"I wanted to share this picture with you as for me, it captured a real moment of vulnerability, honesty and heart.
"I was actually trying to film a little video diary which I’ve been doing throughout my pregnancy and my phone paused on this image.
"At six months pregnant I’ve never been more excited and scared and nervous in my life.
"As a first time mum, reading and researching how to be ‘a great parent’ can’t even begin to prepare you for the emotional ride you embark on throughout pregnancy to get you there.
"So many firsts! So many questions! So many fears! BUT in this very moment that was captured, in all its innocence, is a sense of pride and slowly beginning to show some acceptance courage readiness and hell yeah I can do this!
"I’m certainly not perfect, and honestly where would be the fun in that, but I would like to be the perfect balance of perfectly imperfect.
"Room for growth, a role model for adaptability and fearless against all challenges, and as long as one goes through life with the heart of a lion, being honest, being loving, being kind, being grateful, being accountable, being open to learn, then we all have every faith and chance to be the best first time anything that we want to be.
"So here is to Six Months in on this amazing journey of firsts! Only another three to go! Be YOU always!"
???
Doesn't Katie look so content and at peace with her lovely bump in tow? ?
We reckon this positive message about embracing the fear and curiosity and nervous excitement of pregnancy is EXACTLY what mums-to-be need to read right now, too.
Especially given that it's currently Maternal Mental Health Week - the message that it's OK not to have it all 'figured out' could not be more important ?
