Lily Allen has reportedly revealed her musical comeback will be inspired by her role as a mum.

The 27-year-old said she will “definitely” cover her life as mum to 11-month-old Ethel, according to The Metro.

The singer is working on her first album since 2009’s hit It’s Not Me, It’s You.

“I’m just tinkering away,” Lily said.

“I’m not going to put anything out until I’ve got an end product which I think is amazing. There’s not going to be anything out in the next few months – but, hopefully, next year,” she explained.

Lily’s not the only musical celebrity parent to reveal that parenthood has influenced their music.

Grammy award winner Adele, who is expecting her first child, is believed to be reflecting on her experiences of pregnancy in her third album.

Celeb mum-of-two Gwen Stefani also admitted that parenthood had changed the sound of her punk band No Doubt, who are releasing their first album in a decade.

Other celebrities whose music has been influenced by welcoming their children into the world include Jay-Z, who featured his daughter Blue Ivy’s cries on his song Glory, and Muse front man Matt Bellamy, who sampled the sound of son Bingham’s heartbeat in his album track Follow Me.
