It’s official - Madonna has adopted twins!
Despite denying the allegations she was adopting just weeks ago, the 58-year-old star has announced via Instagram that she’s welcomed 4-year-old twin sisters into her family.
"I can officially confirm I have completed the process of adopting twin sisters from Malawi and am overjoyed that they are now part of our family,” Madonna wrote in her statement.
"I am deeply grateful to all those in Malawi who helped make this possible, and I ask the media please to respect our privacy during this transitional time. ??
"Thank you also to my friends, family and my very large team for all your support and Love! ????????????✈️✈️????♥️??♥️”
She shared the happy news alongside a gorgeous photo of her hand-in-hand with her daughters. The girls wore matching polka-dot dresses as they strolled through a field of cows.
In a separate Instagram post, Madonna also revealed that her daughters’ names were Estere and Stelle. Their names have also been reported (and written by Madonna in previous posts) as the anglicised Esther and Stella.
Estere and Stelle have joined a big family - as Madonna is also mum to daughters Lourdes and Mercy James, and sons Rocco and David.
Both Mercy James and David were adopted from the same Malawian orphanage as the twins, Home of Hope.
And it seems that Lourdes has been getting to know her new sisters for some time, as her mum posted a shot of her holding the girls over 6 months ago…
Congrats ?
