MFM meet Gail Porter at lavish 'Hair Spa' event at Stoke Park

Every girl loves to be pampered which is why we snapped up the chance to head to the glorious Stoke Park in Buckinghamshire, to sample the latest offerings at the in-house Scott Cornwall salon.

After being greeted with champagne and the biggest fish tank in the world, we got stuck into the spa treatments (we opted for a stress relieving arm and hand massage - Kimberley even had a rub of white chocolate and ginger cream!)

The new 'Hair Spa' created by hairdresser to the stars, Scott Cornwall, offers the perfect 'let your hair down' experience, where women can come along and pick from a selection of super glam options and leave the salon looking red carpet ready - in just 20 mins! Plus he offers a hair analysis where he provides a personal, in-depth insight into the condition of your locks and advises you on how to look gorgeous.

Genius - where do we sign?

Amongst the treatments include the 'Express Style Bar' which simply styles your hair (without the fuss of washing or treatments) giving you a glamorous 'do' in under an hour - perfect for mums who are short of time. We spoke to two mums after they had their treatment and they highly recommended the treatment, and we have to say, they looked blooming lovely.

But what about if you can't make the trip to Buckinghamshire? Well, Scott has thought about this too which is how the 'Bringing the Salon Home' range was born. The collection of haircare products include 'B4 U Colour' which removes all barrier residues that build up so that when you colour your hair, it looks vibrant and doesn't fade. Another great product we loved was the 'Colour B4'. This fab colour box is to correct those little disasters at home when the colour on the box doesn't quite work out when it's been applied...

What we loved about this range is that you can literally bring the salon home with you, so whether you grab a group of girlfriends and have a pampering night in or save yourself precious time avoiding the salons and treat your own hair at home - it's a perfect treat for all you mums out there. Among the glamorous crowd was celeb mum-of-one Gail Porter, who was accompanied by her boyfriend Jonny. We caught up with her and couldn't resist a cheeky pic (she told us her skull necklace was £40 from Butler and Wilson, if anyone's interested?!) We also spied Strictly Come Dancing star Ali Bastian and Amanda Lamb amongst the crowd...

We ended the evening with a speech from the man himself and then chomped on some delicious macaroons and custom made cupcakes, washed down with a strawberry mojito - or three!
