Stepping into the Powder Rooms, just off London's Carnaby Street, in between the whiffs of nail varnish and kitsch surroundings, we could hear loud cackles of laughter coming from downstairs from a distinctive voice we all know and love - yes, we're talking about the one and only Gok Wan.

"Hello gorgeous!" he chimed as we all gathered round to check out Gok's sixth collection for Simply Yours. Talking us through each and every piece of his underwear range (which consists of vintage inspired floral prints, nearly nude and rose pink bustiers and panelled bodies), he does it with such enthusiasm and energy, it's little wonder why every woman in the land wants him as their BFF.

Putting his talents to designing undies for the plus sized lingerie brand seems like a natural calling, especially from the man who is literally obsessed with women's lady lumps and (as he lovingly calls them) our 'bangers'.

"This is THE best bra for your bangers. I guarantee it'll transform your bossoms in a flash!" he says of his gorgeous pink with black lace trim balconette bra. Talking about his rather impressive panelled all-in-one (which is definitely on our wish list), he describes how his aim was to make underwear as gorgeous as outerwear - and with his much needed departure from rib breaking, skin coloured, spanx-style crosets, we believe him.

In between Gok mingling with his crowd and walking around offering cupcakes, muffins and cups of tea to everyone, we managed to grab Auntie Gok for a quick chat (and a photo, of course!)

Asking him what tips he'd give mums on concealing our wobbly bits, he said, "Squeeze it in and hoist them up" seemingly referring to our lady lumps. "Don't be afraid to show off your curves - the trick is not to hide your gorgeous self, but to smoothe the silhouette to create a sleek, hour glass look."

We also found out that he is designing a close celebrity friend's wedding dress - but he wouldn't tell us who! Our money is on Fearne Cotton...
