Miranda Kerr, Orlando Bloom and child - family facts

2007 - 2012

Victoria's Secret supermodel Miranda Kerr and British Hollywood actor Orlando Bloom first met in late 2007, however despite Orlando's charming efforts, Miranda refused to give him her number!

Orlando never gave up and cheekily got Miranda's contact details through her agent and the pair became friends. Miranda later split with her partner at the time and her and Orlando became a couple.

After dating for 3 years, Miranda and Orlando announced that they were engaged in July 2010 and secretly married a few weeks after in Anguilla. Miranda has hinted previously that she wanted a family, after saying, "I have always been very open about wanting to be a mum one day. And I've always thought Orlando would be a great dad."

After much speculation that Miranda was pregnant, model Miranda confirmed that the rumours were true during an interview with Spanish Vogue. "Yes, I'm pregnant. 4 months along."

During the early stages of her pregnancy, Miranda launched her own organic skincare range called, KORA Organics, where she showed off the first glimpse of her growing baby bump whilst demonstrating a yoga technique.

Miranda practised yoga throughout her pregnancy and said at the time, "We can choose to fill our bodies with nutrients through eating organic foods. We can choose to value our bodies through exercise whether it be yoga, running or whatever appeals to you; By taking the time out to really relax and rejuvenate and reflect."

Once Miranda's baby bump started to show, although she hung up her Victoria's Secret wings for the time being, she walked the catwalk for the Balenciaga Paris fashion show at 5 months pregnant. At the time, Miranda said, "I agreed based on the fact that I was well enough in myself to do it. I was flattered he wanted me to be in the show, belly and all."

Miranda also became the 1st pregnant model to grace the cover of Vogue Australia, where she was photographed naked with her bump on display for all to see. Miranda also modelled for W Magazine, where she tastefully stripped off to reveal all for a second time.

"It's been a great experience modelling while pregnant because I'm really proud of my belly and I'm really happy about this moment in my life," Miranda said of her pregnant modelling at the time. She even got a gold belly mould made of her baby bump!

The super healthy model kept to her health-conscious lifestyle, however she did experience pregnancy cravings - just not of the junk variety! "I normally don't eat tomatoes or oranges, however since being pregnant, I've been craving them alot," Miranda revealed.

On 6 January 2011 Miranda and Orlando announced that they had became parents for the 1st time to a little boy named Flynn. Their son weighed 9lb 12oz and was born in an un-named Los Angeles hospital. Talking about her labour, Miranda said, "I gave birth to him naturally; without any pain medication and it was a long, arduous and difficult labour, but Orlando was with me the whole time supporting and guiding me through it."

Miranda and Orlando decided to shun lucrative magazine deals and decided to post a gorgeous intimate shot of Miranda and son Flynn on Orlando's website. The pictures were taken by proud dad Orlando and showed Miranda breastfeeding her son.

Miranda later admitted that during her long labour, she didn't let Orlando leave the hospital room - and even banned him from going to the toilet, meaning he had to pee in a bottle!

Orlando seems to be taking fatherhood in his stride, after being spotted with his son while Miranda headed back to work. Miranda was also recently spotted with Flynn - who is growing up to be a big baby!

2013 onwards

In 2013, Miranda and Orlando separated. The couple co-parent their son Flynn.

Speaking to Canadian ELLE in November 2016, Miranda revealed the separation was really tough on her.

"When Orlando and I separated, I actually fell into a really bad depression. I never understood the depth of that feeling or the reality of that because I was naturally a very happy person.... every thought you have affects your reality and only you have control of your mind."

As of January 2017, Flynn's mum and dad are both in new high profile relationships. Miranda is engaged to marry boyfriend Evan Spiegel, best known as the creator of Snapchat. Orlando is currently in a relationship with popstar Katy Perry.
