Terry Jones, 67, has become a dad for the third time with his 26-year-old partner Anna Soderstrom.

Daughter Siri is new little sis to Terry’s two grown up children from his previous 30-year marriage to Alison Telfer.

Playing the proud daddy when introducing Siri in the Radio Times, he fights back at critics who deemed him too old to be a dad.

In a candid interview with the magazine, Terry stands by his choice to become a dad for the third time. “I don’t think people who have children are acting selfishly or unselfishly. Having a child who’ll be loved, to parents who love each other, is the important thing.”

The Monty Python actor was also diagnosed with colon cancer three years ago but is now in remission. However, Terry believes that he won’t miss out on Siri growing up as he plans to stick around. “I’ve a reasonable chance of living another 20 years, and I hope I do, so Siri will be in her 20s.”

Critics have labelled him selfish for becoming a dad in his 60s, but like other celebs who have come under fire, such as 62-year-old Elton John, he believes that love is the most important factor. Terry’s partner is also younger as is Elton’s partner David Furnish, which means that the child will have more chance of growing up with at least one parent.
