North West's hair causes Twitter row
Kim Kardashian comes under fire for taming toddler North's naturally curly hair
Kim Kardashian may have gone from raven locks to platinum blonde and back again in the blink of an eye over the last month… but there's another Kardashian-West whose hair transformation is causing a stir – little North West's.
The 22-month-old has been sporting a range of experimental dos, including a slicked down topknot and product-laden side partings. Most recently, North has been showing off her natural curly hair while in her mum's native Armenia.
Kim has admitted to using a product from her own beauty range on occasion to style her toddler's locks. "[North's] hair has just gotten long enough that I can now slick it up into a bun. I use the Black Seed Dry Oil to tighten it up," she told Allure.
But this is Kardashian land, and no surprises that the mum-of-1 has come under fire on Twitter - for taming her daughter's natural curly hair. "I feel bad for north west dude like goddamn i know that lil baby always has a headache cause kim never lets her damn hair loose," one Twitter user wrote.
Others voiced concerns that pulling her hair tight will damage her hairline. "Kim Karsashian tied North West's hair back so tight that the poor girl will probably have a receding hairline before she turns 20," another added.
But Kim insists that North loves to experiment with her hair. "North likes to brush her own hair. You start with a brush and then you have to get a second brush [for her]. Right when you get it all perfect, she takes the brush and starts doing it herself," she told Women's Wear Daily.
She also revealed why she uses product on her daughter's hair. "I just started using our oil because I needed to slick it [her hair] back and make it stay," she said. "I just use a drop of it, but then she brushes it and likes to mess it all up."
Do you think Kim is over-styling her daughter's hair? Or is it up to her what she does? Let us know in the comments below.
