Oscars 2016: the best-dressed celebrity bumps
These celeb mums-to-be are TOTALLY rocking their red carpet style
Oscars Night is one of the most glamorous nights of the year, and we just love what these pregnant celebs wore to the ceremony and the after-show parties. Let's face it, the full-on-glam, floor-length evening gown is pretty hard to pull off when you've a bump where your waist should be but we think these 4 A-list mums-to-be made some positively swoonsome Oscar-dress choices...
Chrissy Teigen
Chrissy set the bar high by managing not 1 but 2 gorgeous maternity-gown looks, arriving on the red carpet in a sumptuous peach and deep-red floral patterned number, complete with flowing train, and then changing into classic black sequins for the Vanity Fair party later. Just stunning. Twice over.
Emily Blunt
The British actress is expecting her 2nd child with husband John Krasinksi (they already have a little girl, Hazel). Emily opted for a strappy gown in a delicate pink, dotted with sparkly silver embellishments that beautifully set off her exquisite diamond earrings. We love how the gown skims just-so over her bump. Gorgeous.
Hannah Bagshawe
Hannah Bagshawe accompanied her tuxedo-suited husband Eddie Redmayne down the red carpet in what we can only describe as 'floor-length wow'. Her black gown floated down sparely but elegantly from the plain empire-line bodice, with all the detail focused around the most amazing gold neckpiece. Beautiful.
Anne Hathaway
We reckon we're leaving the best till last with this one. We've been constantly blown away by Anne Hathaway's maternity style, and her Vanity Fair after-party dress was NO exception.
Anne wasn't nominated for an Oscar this year but, before everything got under way, she took a moment to post this on Instagram, introducing her bump to mum's 2013 Oscar for Les Miserables.
Rumour has it Anne skipped the ceremony itself to save some energy for the big 'do' later. And that looks like it was a good call.
She arrived in a jaw-dropping black and embellished gown that we pretty much think made her the best-dressed woman – bump or no bump – overall on the night. Way to rock an 'almost-cooked', 3rd-trimester bump, Anne!
