Paddy McGuinness: 'I drive my twins round at 4am to get them to sleep'
TV host says being a dad is a “culture shock”
Take Me Out presenter Paddy McGuinness has been struggling with sleepless nights since his twins arrived this summer. He even admits to driving them around in the middle of the night – wearing only underpants – to get them to fall asleep.
Paddy’s wife, Christine Martin, 24, a model and former Miss Liverpool, gave birth to Leo Joseph and Penelope Patricia in July. “I’m so lucky to have them," says Paddy, "even if it has meant a lack of sleep.
“I was out at four in the morning. I put my underpants on and jumped in the car. I was just driving them around — it settles them a bit.
“It’s been great, I love it. It’s a bit of a culture shock having two kids at once. I’ve been spending a lot of time at home with them over the last three or four months!”
The TV presenter, 40, was talking about being a new dad to while he visited his old school, Mount St Joseph in Bolton, yesterday.
