Peter Andre and Emily’s first photo with baby
Reality-show stars 'introduce' their baby the world, share the labour story - and announce their wedding plans
Peter Andre and Emily MacDonagh have released the first picture of their baby girl, talked about the baby's birth – and announced their engagement.
“I’m proud of myself for getting through [the labour]" says Emily, 23, who wore natural makeup and relaxed jeans for the shoot featured in OK! Magazine.
"I pulled a lot of Pete’s hair out, but he’s got enough to spare!” she says.
“I was so happy she was healthy, it was amazing. I was looking at her perfect form and little fingernails. I kept thinking, how did we make that?”
Pete, 40, adds: “I’d never seen anything like it. I was crying the whole way through the labour.
“As soon as I saw her I was a mess and crying like a baby. It was such a beautiful experience."
Still no news on the baby’s name yet but the pair have announced their engagement – with Pete getting down on one knee in their nursery on New Year’s Eve.
“It was such a shock," says Emily. "He always said he’d like to do it before the baby was born... I was happy, I didn’t need a ring, but it was amazing."
“She said: ‘Are you serious?’ and burst into tears," says Pete. "It was so emotional. We lay down in the nursery for ages because it's such a special room to us."
