Plus-size model Tess Holliday captures breastfeeding milestone with raw snapshot
She revealed which nursing position was really difficult for her to master…
New mum Tess Holliday just shared the loveliest breastfeeding moment on Instagram.
The sweet photo, taken by her partner Nick Holliday, showed mum-of-two Tess lying down, with her 3-week-old baby boy Bowie on her breast.
Tess revealed it was the first time she'd succeeded in breastfeeding her son in that position - quite the milestone!
“#repost @nickhollidayco ??? I had to capture this moment because today was the first time I was successful at feeding lil Bowie laying down ?? ? #normalizebreastfeeding #motherhoodrising” she captioned the pic.
Hats off to Tess for sharing this.
And not only because she has to deal with the inevitable trolling that comes with, well, being on the internet… but also because it would seem that her devoted fan base could really relate to her situation.
“My now one year old LOVES nursing in this position even today lol. So much more comfortable,” one fan revealed.
One Instagrammer told Tess: “[This position is] definitely hard. I'm plus size and I have large breasts. Feeding my newborn laying down has definitely been a learning experience.”
A commenter also shared her, slightly different, experience: “My girl only really liked breastfeeding while I stood up, go figure. All babies are different!”
“What an amazing moment captured...motherhood is a BEAUTIFUL form of nature,” added another.
We SO love seeing breastfeeding selfies and snapshots on Instagram.
And given that not every mum is able to or chooses to breastfeed, it’s nice to capture all mum-and-baby bonding experiences on camera!
