If you grew up watching The Moomins, the adorable family of trolls from Finland, and now have kids of your own, you'll be delighted to hear that the much-loved Swedish kidswear brand PO.P is about to drop their Spring/ Summer collection and it's covered in magical little creatures from Moominvalley.

The collection is the second instalment of a collaboration to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Moomins (don't worry it hasn't been 80 years since the 90s - the Moomins were originally a series of books by Tove Jansson!). And, unlike the first drop last autumn when the trolls were depicted in their well-known 1990s white colour, this collection shows them, for the first time since their original debut in 1956, in a gorgeous array of pastel colours – just perfect for the warmer months.

The new collection spans three categories: everyday playwear, nightwear, and UV swimwear. Each piece showcases illustrations from Jansson’s Moomin stories, now reimagined in striking shades of blue, pink, and yellow as part of the exclusive “Moomin Play” artworks.

The everyday playwear line consists of soft, play-friendly tops, dresses, sweatshirts, and shorts designed for outdoors adventure. And, if you don't want your kids to have all the fun and fancy getting nostalgic yourself, there's a matching nightwear range, with options for babies, children, and adults.

For anyone who missed out on the adults Moomin bathrobe, which sold out in the first collection, you can get your hands on it this time in a vibrant blue pattern.

As you'd expect from a summer collection, PO.P’s Moomin range also contains UV swimwear in delightful ice cream pastels. There are swim tops, shorts, a swimsuit, and a swim nappy — all adorned with Moomins – to choose from. And they're not all style and no substance.

The swimwear has been designed with UPF50 protection that blocks 98% of the sun’s harmful rays, ensuring little ones stay safe while in the pool or on the beach.

The ethos behind the collection is pretty special too. Inspired by the Moomins, it celebrates friendship and the connections we build throughout life. And when it comes to sustainability, it's not just the Moomins who are lasting the test of time. Each garment is crafted to last for a minimum of three children.

The collection launches online at polarnopyret.co.uk on April 8th.
