Pregnant Amanda Holden in car crash
Amanda Holden and baby "fine" after being taken to hospital following collision with lorry
Pregnant Amanda Holden has left hospital with the all-clear, after writing off her car in a crash with a lorry. The Britain’s Got Talent judge was understandably shaken and had to pull out of the evening performance of Shrek: The Musical.
“She was terrified the impact and the shock could have harmed her unborn child and knew she had to get to hospital as soon as possible,” a source allegedly told the Sun. “She feels she’s had an incredibly lucky escape.”
Amanda’s spokesman said, “Amanda was shaken and very concerned following the accident for the baby’s well-being. However, a Good Samaritan took her to hospital and both she and the baby are fine.”
Amanda herself popped onto Twitter to reassure her fans that she and the baby are doing fine, posting a Twitpic of a tank and joking that hubby Chris wants her to drive it from now on!
"Don't worry. Baby is perfect. I am ok- achy and shocked! Car totalled," Amanda tweeted. "Me and Bump of 4 1/2 MONTHS! will be back in Shrek tomra night all being well! Bit achy so resting In bed with Curly wurly," she added.
Amanda is especially protective of this pregnancy, after suffering a miscarriage and a stillbirth in the past. She revealed her current pregnancy on Twitter, hinting she’s further along than people think.
Amanda's not the only pregnant celeb to walk away from a car accident lately. Selma Blair, who gave birth last month, had a lucky escape in an incident with a truck. And Tori Spelling, who is due any day, blamed paparazzi for her recent accident.
