Choosing a baby name can be a bit of a headspin but it seems pregnant former Home And Away actress Kate Ritchie had hit on a novel way to get inspiration: ask lots of children for their suggestions. The 35-year-old, who played Sally Fletcher in the Aussie soap, has revealed, on Instagram, that her "littlest friends" have come up with a shortlist of names for her baby-to-be.

Starting from the top, Molly was in the number 1 spot for girls, followed by Lilly, Matilda, Madeline and Georgia.

For the boys, the top suggestion was William, ahead of Hugo, Harry, Joshua and Lucas.

"Help from some of my littlest friends this weekend #cleo #ivy #topfive #littlepeoplearethebestkind #notlongnow," she commented beside the snap on Instagram.

Kate has just over a month to go until her baby’s due and she hasn’t revealed whether she’s having a boy or girl.

She and husband Stuart Webb announced their good news on Facebook in March, confirming to fans that the actress was well past her first 12 weeks of pregnancy.

“It really is such a special time for us and we couldn’t be happier," she said at the time.
