Pregnant Natalie Portman and new mum Penelope Cruz at the Oscars
Baby kicks award-winning Natalie while Penelope shows off her post-baby body for the first time
Pregnant actress Natalie Portman won the Best Actress award at last night's Oscars and tearfully thanked her fiancé for making her pregnant!
The blooming 29-year-old, who looked stunning in a deep purple Rodarte gown, accepted her Academy Award for the best actress in the film Black Swan and sent out an emotional thank you message to dad-to-be Benjamin Millepied. "I'd like to thank my beautiful Benjamin who choreographed the film and has now given me my most important role of my life."
Mum-to-be Natalie also joked that her baby wouldn't be called Oscar in honour of her win and revealed that her baby was excitedly kicking during the ceremony.
Elsewhere on The Academy Awards red carpet was new mum Penelope Cruz who made her first appearance since giving birth to her son Leo Encinas last month. Looking radiant in a ruby red L'Wren Scott dress, the 36-year-old Spanish actress showed off her post-baby curves with her Best Actor nominee hubby Javier Bardem by her side.
Other celebrity new mums who left their babies at home to tread the red carpet at the Kodak Theatre in LA were Celine Dion and actress Amy Adams.
