Prince George arrives in New Zealand – and doesn't look impressed
Kate smiles as she carries baby George off the royal plane at the start of their royal tour but, after a 30-hour trip, the little prince can't help but look just a little bit grumpy
Prince George has touched down in New Zealand this morning. And when his mum, the Duchess of Cambridge, took him off the plane, he looked more than a little grumpy.
Then again, he had just spent 30 hours on a plane, so we really can’t blame him for being a bit unimpressed with his first royal trip so far!
Kate Middleton held the 8-month-old as they landed in Wellington Airport to embark on their 3-week tour of New Zealand and Australia.
The Duchess of Cambridge looked stunning in a red coat and matching hat and her son wore cute bloomer-style white shorts, a cream cardigan and matching socks.
This is only the second time Prince George has been seen in public since he was born in July last year.
The royal family and their 11-strong entourage left London on Saturday night, taking up the first-class section of a scheduled Qantas flight via Dubai. They disembarked 27 hours later in Australia only to catch a Royal New Zealand Air Force jet to take the on the final 3 hours of their journey.
Meanwhile, the pics of George looking distinctly unimpressed with his Antipodean surroundings has got the internet in a bit of playful mood. Social-media users have been dubbing George the ‘Grumpy Prince’ and comparing him with the famous Grumpy Cat.
Almost by the hour, new memes are popping up of George looking thoroughly unimpressed with everything from New Zealand’s amazing scenery to the Mona Lisa.
So, after we saw the pics of Kate trying to make George look a bit happier, we created a little meme of our own. What do you think?
