Prince George is walking! New official birthday pic
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have released a new Twitter pic of their son Prince George walking on his own
Prince George turns 1 on Tuesday July 22nd and, to mark his birthday, his parents Kate and William, Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, have released this official Twitter picture of him tottering delightedly down a gravel path.
Can you believe it’s almost a year since little Prince George was born? Do you remember the summer weeks of press frenzy as the whole world waited with baited breath to catch their first glimpse of the baby prince?
We have enjoyed watching the little HRH grow up over the past 12 months. Whatever you think of the royals, you'd have to be made of seriously cold stuff to resist the charms of those chubby cheeks!
And we think this new photo, which shows George now walking unaided (in the last photos we saw of him at a polo match, he was still hanging on to his mother's hands as he took his steps), is just gorgeous.
Look at his arms, outstretched in delight at what his little legs are doing! And those adorable blue-striped dungarees, thought to be from Petit Bateau.
"Look who's walking! Here's our little Prince ahead of his 1st birthday on 22nd July #HappyBirthdayPrinceGeorge,” Clarence House tweeted.
Then, to celebrate HRH George's big day, the royal couple released 2 more pictures of their prince.
The photos – taken on the same day as the first – show Prince George enjoying the Sensational Butterflies exhibition at the Natural History Museum in London.
"Watching the butterflies flutter by… As promised, two more pictures of Prince George #HappyBirthdayPrinceGeorge," Clarence House tweeted.
