Thanks to Kate Middleton's traditional British style, Prince George is already a mini fashion icon – and his latest outfit has sold out quicker than you can say 'Cath Kidston'. These adorable new official Christmas portraits of the little prince were released this weekend by his proud parents, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

Sitting on the steps of Kensington Palace, you might be surprised that the 16-month-old's outfit is available in high street stores, costing £111 from top to toe.

OK, so we've got to admit, Kate isn't quite taking advantage of the range of toddler clothes in her local supermarket. But, she isn't throwing money at designer clothes either. We love George's Guards Tank Top from Cath Kidston. It was originally £28, but went down to £16 in the sale. It's now sold out, but when we looked on the Cath Kidston site, there was still a Dog Tank Top on sale for £18, if you want some royal style for your little one this Christmas.

Underneath the cute jumper, George appears to be wearing a white polo necked body suit similar to those sold by Swedish designer Polarn O. Pyret in John Lewis for £16.

We have to say, George has nailed his traditional signature look again with those shorts and long socks. The navy blue corduroy shorts are by Amaia Kids and sell for £36. They have sold out for now, but our insider says they'll be getting more stock this afternoon. His little cotton socks are from the same store and are still available for £7. For similar buckled navy blue leather shoes try the First Walking Shoes from Start Rite, £36.

He might only be 16 months, but George is already having the same impact on British fashion as his stylish mum Kate. When the Duchess wore a swing-style coat from Goat in New York last week, it sold out instantly. So you need to be quick if you want to bag some royal style!
