Rachel and Daniel's previous relationships

Not much is known about Daniel's first marriage. All we know is that Fiona is a Scottish actress. They married in 1992, and their marriage ended in 1994.

From their marriage came a daughter, named Ella. As of April 2018, she is 26 year old, and bears a canny resemblance to her dad!

In summer 2001, Rachel and Darren became an item. They got engaged in 2005, and welcomed a baby boy named Henry on 31 May 2006.

The couple lived together in Manhattan, New York, until they announced that they'd been living apart for months in November 2010.

Darren has since gone on to date actress Jennifer Lawrence, though the couple split at the end of 2017.

How did Rachel and Daniel meet?

Crazily, Rachel and Daniel first met at university. They'd known each other as friends for ages, until they finally began to fall for each other on the set of their 2010 movie, Dream House.

Rachel and Daniel married on 22 June 2011 in New York. Not much is known about their wedding, as the couple are super private when it comes to their personal lives.

In fact, it's said that their wedding only had 4 guests, their 2 children included. Daniel told GQ in 2015:

"We got away with it. We did it privately. And I’ve got a lot of people to thank for that. But that was the point.

"We did it for private reasons. Because we didn’t want it f***** up, because that would be sharing a secret. And the whole point is that it was a secret."

Rachel has only spoken briefly about her married life, telling ES Magazine a while back:

"You make it your own. It's very personal, it's very private. I don't think mine's particularly exceptional apart from that we're both in the public eye.

"But I never thought I would get married. It was not an ambition of mine. It was the opposite. I couldn't relate to romantic comedies - marriage seems to be the whole point of them. Then it just happened, happily, at a more mature moment."

Rachel also reportedly reiterated to MORE that she intended to keep her marriage as private as possible.

"He’s just too famous. It would be a betrayal. You have to protect your marriage.

"When you’re young, you tell your girlfriends everything. One of the great pleasures of not being an adolescent is that you don’t have to share everything.

"When you’re married, that door closes. The audience goes, and you’re in your own life."

Rachel's 1st pregnancy with Daniel

At age 48 and 50, respectively, Rachel and Daniel shared that they are expecting their 1st child together.

Rachel surprised the world by revealing the happy news herself, in a statement to the New York Times:

“I’ll be showing soon. Daniel and I are so happy. We’re going to have a little human. We can’t wait to meet him or her. It’s all such a mystery."

As of April 2018, Rachel doesn't seem to be too far along in her pregnancy. She hasn't chosen to share an exact due date with the public, so we'd estimate the baby will be due some time in August/September 2018.

Naturally, Rachel's been very gracious as the paps try to catch her (bump's) every move since she shared the news.

She was also happy to display her growing pregnancy tum at a recent red carpet for her new movie, Disobedience, also starring Rachel McAdams.
