Rebecca Adlington gives birth to baby girl
The Olympic swimmer is ‘over the moon’ with her first child
Rebecca Adlington has given birth to a baby girl! The Olympic swimmer took to Twitter to announce the birth of her first child. “@harryneeds and I are over the moon as we welcomed our beautiful baby girl this morning. She's doing well and we're so in love!!!” she tweeted.
The 26-year-old’s due date was last Thursday 4 June – so she went just 4 days overdue. And her husband Harry Needs was quick to tweet how he felt about the birth of his daughter. “Can't believe I feel in love all over again today. Thank you @BeckAdlington for making me the happiest man on this earth #daddysgirl,” Harry tweeted.
Before long, congratulations were pouring in from fellow Olympians.
"Many congratulations! Can't wait to meet her!" Chris Hoy tweeted.
"Amazing news! Congratulations to the both of you! #babyjoy,” British Olympic swimmer Keri-Anne Payne added.
Congratulations both!
