Yes, this year's Red Nose Day marks 40 years since Comic Relief was founded by scriptwriter Richard Curtis and comedian Sir Lenny Henry.

What is Red Nose Day?
Red Nose Day is a yearly charity event held by Comic Relief. On this day, people wear red noses and take part in charity activities, from school bake sales to grand talent shows on BBC One.
The money that's spent on red noses and other merch will be used to support Comic Relief as it aims to alleviate the challenges communities face both here in the UK and abroad.
The red noses themselves are a reminder from Comic Relief that "even the littlest of things can make a huge difference." They help Comic Relief fight poverty and injustice and strive for equality.
Last year, the sale of red noses was part of an overall £40 million raised for the charity on Red Nose Day.

Where to buy 2025 Red Noses in the UK
In 2025, you can buy your red nose through Amazon or the Comic Relief shop. You can buy one red nose for £2.50, this comes in a special red nose box and you won't know which character you'll be getting until you open it.
