Robinsons Fruit Shoot recalled over cap safety
Customers advised to return certain bottles of Robinsons Fruit Shoot as a “precautionary measure”
Britvic has issued a recall of all bottles of Fruit Shoot and Fruit Shoot Hydro because the new cap design poses a “packaging safety issue”.
Britvic says it had introduced a new Fruit Shoot, aimed at children aged 7 to 11, with a new design “spill proof Magic-cap”, but that due to a safety issue with the cap, the company has advised customers to return the bottles to their retailer for a refund.
“Britvic Soft Drinks is recalling all Robinsons Fruit Shoot and Fruit Shoot Hydro packs, featuring the new design cap, due to a packaging safety issue,” Britvic said in a product recall notice.
“Consumers with any affected product should return it to the retailer for a refund,” Britvic explained.
Britvic are running adverts in national news advising customers of the recall and assure consumers that no other Robinsons products are affected.
“Fruit Shoot My-5 is NOT being recalled. No other Robinson’s products are affected,” they said. “Britvic Soft Drinks apologises for any inconvenience caused,” the company added.
Customers with questions are advised to call the company’s consumer care line on 0800 0321767.
