Samantha Cameron pregnant with fourth child
Conservative party leader's wife is "completely thrilled" with the baby news
After previously sharing his desire to expand his family, it seems that Conservative leader David Cameron has got his wish with the couple announcing they're going to be parents for the fourth time.
Due in September right on top of the general election, 38-year-old Samantha will add to her brood which include daughter Nancy, 6, and son Arthur Elwen, 4. The baby joy comes just over a year after the tragic loss of their eldest son Ivan, who died of cerebal palsy and epilespy last February at the age of 6.
"The baby is due in September and David and Samantha are completely thrilled," the Conservative party spokesman announced.
If David Cameron is elected as the next Prime Minister, he'll be the third in a row to live in Downing Street with young children. The first was Tony Blair, who fathered a child while in office when Leo Blair was born in 2000. The current Prime Minister, Gordon Brown, also has two young sons John and James.
Samantha, who is the creative director of Smythsons, has said that she'll be taking an active role in order to support her husband during the election, which looks set to take place on May 6. Now with her baby bump in tow, it's going to be an extra busy time for the Cameron family!
