It seems Frances and Shaun may be at the top of Santa’s gift list this Christmas, as a new survey has revealed that children with these names are most likely to behave well.

Wall chart company School Stickers conducted a study of reward stickers handed out to more than 60,000 school children and found that Shaun, Ali, Brandon and Samuel were the most likely to receive the rewards, along with girls named Frances, Kelly, Stacey and Eve.

But boys called Rory, Harvey, Bob and Brad, and girls named Megan, Georgie, Jess and Joanna were the least likely to receive awards at school. Girls called Ali and Kerry were the most improved students this year.

“Obviously young people are all unique and just because a child is called Megan or Rory doesn’t necessarily mean they’re going to be little terrors! Equally, parents with children named Frances or Shaun shouldn’t assume they have little angels,” said Henry Shalford, chief executive of School Stickers. “This is a light-hearted and fun study, but one that highlights the value of rewarding pupils who try hard.”
