Presenter Sarah Cawood admits she's lost a mum friend over arguments about the 48-hour sickness rule
They disagreed so much the pair are no longer mates - but who do you think's right?
Now, parenting, as we all know, can be a pretty divisive topic. But would you ever be willing to lose a friend over something you didn't agree on?
That's just what happened to TV presenter and mum of 2 Sarah Cawood, so she told us when she popped in to MFM HQ to take part in judging for our awards.
"I fell out with a friend before Christmas over a parenting rule," she revealed. "She'll send her child into school before the 48-hour vomiting rule is up and I'm not happy to do that."
Oooh - interesting. For those of you who don't know, schools (and usually nurseries) request that you keep your child out of class for 2 days if they've thrown up - because they don't want nasty bugs spreading, or risk your child puking up again.
It seems a pretty sensible rule to stick to, in our minds - though we do also get that if your child seems totally fine after just a day and they're completely back to normal you might not see the point of keeping them off again.
Sarah went on to say that as she works at home, it might be easier for her than some to keep her child off school - but she also told us that she hates being a judgy mum, so she finds it easier just not to be friends with people who's parenting style is very, very different from hers.
"Parenting really polarises people, doesn't it?" Sarah added.
Boy, it sure does...
What do you think?
Who do you think is right on the 48-hour rules thing? Sarah or her mate? And do you agree that it's just easier not to be friends with people who parent very differently from you?
Or do you just need to learn to be more tolerant?
