‘They haven’t banned me yet!’ – Olympic legend leaves the other mums in the dust at son's sports day
Think the parents at your kid's school sports day are competitive? Wait until Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce pulls up at the start line.

Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce might be a three-time Olympic gold medallist, but that didn’t stop her from going full throttle at her son’s school sports day — and yes, it was glorious.
The 38-year-old sprint legend lit up the parents' race in Jamaica, showing absolutely no mercy as she rocketed across the grass and left the rest of the field in her wake.
In video footage from the event — which you can watch below — Shelly-Ann is seen warming up like she’s about to hit an international final, and then taking off with trademark precision and power.
The race was over in seconds, and so was any hope for the other parents.

“She took it personally,” joked one fan on X, while another added: “She’s so wrong for running that fast — like it’s the Diamond League!”
Even fellow Jamaican and fashion model Jeneil Williams joined in on Instagram, teasing: “Lol Shelly u should have give them a jump start 😂.”
And the official Olympics account chimed in too, commenting: “It runs in the family. 🤩 Any race is a race for Shelly-Ann. 💪”
Nike Running kept it short and sweet: “Only Ws in this family 🥇🥇.”
It was a full family affair too, with Shelly-Ann proudly posting photos of her son Zyon — who bagged two wins himself — and her husband Jason, who gave it his all in the tug-of-war.
In total, the sprint star shared 11 snaps and clips from the day, captioning it: “They haven’t banned me yet so I’m at the line 😂… till next time.”
This isn’t the first time she’s sprinted away with victory at school — she went viral in 2023 for doing just the same, fuelled by friendly competition with a fellow mum who dared to challenge her.
Shelly-Ann hasn’t raced professionally since her injury heartbreak at the Paris 2024 Olympics, but fans won’t have to wait long.
She’s already teased a 2025 comeback with a slick career highlight reel ending in the words “Unfinished business.”
Looks like school fields and world championships better be ready.
