Should Kate Middleton's bikini baby bump be revealed?
Italian magazine publishes pictures of pregnant Duchess on private holiday
Infamous Italian gossip magazine, Chi, has published pictures of the Duchess of Cambridge in a bikini whilst she strolled along the beach on holiday in Mustique.
The blooming mum-to-be is taking a well-deserved babymoon with husband Prince William, her parents and siblings on the gorgeous Caribbean island.
However, news of the paparazzi photographs of their private time together being published is said to be causing the couple fresh anguish.
A spokesperson from St James' Palace gave this statement last night: "We are disappointed that photographs of the Duke and Duchess on a private holiday look likely to be published overseas. This is a clear breach of the couple's right to privacy."
The photographs were reportedly taken with a long-lens camera from a boat. The issue of Chi is to go on sale today.
It is not the first time the magazine has come to blows with the British Royal family. Chi published, on the front page, the final photograph of William's mother Princess Diana in the car accident in which she died, and last year also printed topless photographs of the Duchess of Cambridge.
It has not yet been confirmed whether the couple have been informed about the publication of the latest photographs.
As reported by The Belfast Telegraph, Australian magazine Woman's Day are also set to publish the pictures. Editor Fiona Connolly has defended her decision: "Our readers are going to love these photos. I don't expect any backlash at all really. I think she's looking fabulous and healthy and (with) a beautiful bump, like we haven't seen her before."
The serene photos show a smiling William with his arm around Kate, both in matching blue swimwear, headed down the beach towards the sea.
The couple certainly look happy and healthy in the images and we are used to seeing photos of celebrities including Jessica Alba, Pink and even the French ex-Prime Minister's wife Carla Bruni, with baby bumps enjoying a day on the beach.
