Silver Cross launches the new £3000 Aston Martin Surf 2

The Silver Cross Surf Aston Martin Edition is the ultimate in baby extravagance and has a price tag to match - you'll need at least £3000. The idea is that you get an enviable combination of fine British engineering, craftsmanship, comfort and style.

Launched exclusively to Harrods (where else), this is the second edition of the lavish limited edition Surf. The first, the Silver Cross Surf Aston Martin Edition, was released last year costing a mere £2000. All 800 units sold out globally, with Simon Cowell and JLS’s Aston Merrygold (who bought it for his bandmate Marvin Humes) among the celebrity buyers.

This time, it's an even-more limited edition with a bigger price - Silver Cross has made just 600 units. Each pushchair comes with its own certificate of authenticity and an engraved brushed chrome plaque confirming that each pram is one of a limited edition - so there's no danger of cheap copycats on ebay.

Our favourite features include the Alcantara suede used on the exterior pram unit and seat - the same material used on the roofs of Aston Martin cars. While the pearlescent white paint finish on the chassis and the buggy’s Aston Martin designed alloy wheels had us drooling with excitement when we saw it at the Kind and Jugend Baby & Toddler Show in September this year.

Silver Cross’ air-ride suspension gives a smooth ride over all terrains and the multi-position handlebar will accommodate tall, short and inbetween parents.

So if you have the cash, you won’t find a more luxurious statement buggy than the Silver Cross Surf Aston Martin Edition. And you may just be jostling buggy wheels with celebrity parents...
